Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Please find attached a summary of activities carried out by the FSU Executive during the past month. Please click this link/watch movie for a summary of this Broadcast:
Last month, Vice President Jackline Omondi, and I, attended the 98th Session of the ICSC meeting in Rome. During that meeting, we deliberated on a lot of issues like Education Grant, Mobility, R&R, the Roster membership to name but a few. Now these are real issues that have direct ramification on your conditions of service.
I am pleased to inform you that, under the umbrella of our Federation UNISERV, we did our best to defend your entitlements by not losing what we already have. Please read the attachment on this Broadcast.
We are also working collaboratively with other entities, and UN Agencies, for the placement of our colleagues from downsizing missions. On that front, I am pleased to report that we have managed
to place over 350 staff from downsizing missions. It’s not easy these days given the limited available vacancies, but we are doing our best to ensure that priority is given to downsized, and internal serving staff members.
I want to thank the hundreds of staff members who have subscribed as due paying members to the FSU. And I want to encourage the few international staff members who have not done so yet, to please click this link and become due paying members: UNFSU ONLINE CONTRIBUTION FORM . It’s just $10 a month.
Finally, on behalf of my executive, I want to thank you very much for the overwhelming support you have given us during this first year of our mandate. Continue to trust the process, everything will be under control.
Thanks,
Milan Victor Dawoh
