UNFSU Council Meeting March 2025, UNGSC.
UNITED NATIONS FIELD STAFF UNION
The United Nations Field Staff Union (UNFSU) defends the rights and supports the welfare and well-being of Internationally recruited United Nations staff, who are assigned to and work in UN Field Entities designated as UN Peacekeeping Operations (Missions) and Special Political Operations (Missions) under DPO and DPPA respectively.
Internationally recruited staff from these Field Operations are automatically members of the UNFSU. The UNFSU encourages all its members to become voluntary financial contributing members, to help facilitate a strong financial base that allows the union to discharge its functions purposefully and independently from the UN organization.
"One Staff, One Voice and One UN"
The UNFSU aims to offer information, assistance and strategies to assist colleagues to resolve issues in a collaborative manner. Working as a team we are better placed to protect staff rights and have a positive effect on policies, welfare, safety and security.
We strongly believe in "One Staff, One Voice and One UN".
UNFSU constitution
The Constitution and Rules provide for the discharge of functions entrusted to the elected representatives and bodies of the United Nations Field Staff Union, (UNFSU).
