We wish to thank all staff who attended the Town Hall Meeting on UN80 Updates, held on Tuesday, 8 July 2025. Your engagement, questions, and concerns once again demonstrated the commitment and solidarity of field personnel during this critical phase of organizational reform.
During the meeting, we provided updates on the UN80 initiatives, including:
- The current status of the restructuring process and anticipated timelines.
- Mitigating measures being pursued to minimize adverse impacts on staff.
- Implications for field missions, mobility, and contract modalities.
- The role of the UNFSU in ongoing consultations and staff advocacy.
- Next steps and expectations from management ahead of Q4 2025.
We understand the continued uncertainty and frustration many of you are experiencing. Please be assured that the UNFSU remains fully engaged in all relevant forums, including the Staff-Management Committee (SMC), and is advocating consistently for transparency, fairness, and the protection of staff rights.
